THE ROLLING PEOPLE: Young band, mature sound, bright future

STOCKPORT’S PRODIGIOUS THE ROLLING PEOPLE return with their latest single, ‘Before It’s Gone,’ via LAB Records.

The follow-up to February’s ‘I’ll Be There’ single – the first from the band’s upcoming ‘Before It’s Gone EP,’ – expands to become a wave of interlocked guitar lines and a stormy rhythm section, all wrapped neatly around front man Charlie McNichol’s impressive, impassioned, vocals.

“We wrote ‘Before It’s Gone’ as a continuation of our new chapter as a band, exploring a richer sound,” he said.

“I wanted to write a song that had a massive lifting chorus with a more ballady, but still driving and heavy song with the feeling we are on a journey to grab our chance before it disappears. It’s us exploring the idea of living your own life and doing everything you can to reach your ambitions.”

Sharing a love of classic rock, indie and ‘90s alternative music, The Rolling People shuddered into life when each band member was only 15 years old. And now, their meld of influences from The Verve to Fontaines DC and Foo Fighters have become the ingredients in a heady musical cocktail that has brought them a loyal, passionate following.
