Ida Wenøe RELEASES ‘WITH THE WIND’ VIDEO. NEW ALBUM DROPS IN OCTOBER.

FOLLOWING last week’s release of new single ‘With the Wind,’ Ida Wenøe drops the accompanying video on Wednesday (Aug 30^th) – but you can watch an exclusive ‘LondonPeaky’ preview from today.

“I got the idea for the music video when I was writing ‘With the Wind’ up in Lønstrup in Northern Jutland,” she said.

“There was something so direct about the imagery in the lyrics that I wanted to illustrate with these simple and kinda naively drawn symbols. The ocean I was surrounded by became the background – it’s seemingly calm, but wild, powerful and crushing at the same time which fitted the song perfectly. The naivety creates a contrast to all the complex emotions lying just beneath the surface.

“On a different level, this record has also become somewhat of a journey into how far I can take the DIY approach. This music video is also a result of that.”
